Freebie: Unofolio – One Page Portfolio With Cool CSS3 And jQuery Effects
Today I am happy to reveal to you a freebie that I’ve been working lately and which I want to share with you for following this site and its articles. The freebie is called Unofolio and is a one page portfolio with cool CSS3 and jQuery effects.
I made this one page portfolio template because there are a lot of people who don’t have the time or skills to create something like this and it is easier to just grab a template and make some modifications to adapt it to their desires.
The template is released under GPL. You can use it for all your projects for free and without any restrictions. Please link to this article if you want to spread the word. You may modify the theme as you wish.
A download link is at the end of the post.

Among the features of this beautiful and efficient one page portfolio you have:
- 3D Vertical Rotating slider which fades nicely in unsupported browsers
The slider is customizable in various other ways than 3D vertical rotation. You can check the whole set of features that can be applied to it here.
- Animated skills diagram which can be customized
- Cool gallery effects made possible with CSS3
- Working contact form
To set the contact form, simply open contact-send.php and replace on line 10 the email that is in there with your own.
- CSS3 social media icons
Besides the icons that you see in the demo and in this following image, there are also available icons for deviantart, flickr, pinterest, tumblr, skype, youtube and vimeo. They are declared in the CSS file so all you need to do is use them the same way the others are used in index.html.
You can download this freebie by “buying” it with a retweet. I know some of you may consider this a douchebag move but there must be a way to reward me for my efforts and this is it. Instead of paying a few bucks for this template, you can just retweet it at a zero cost. I will launch future freebies depending on how many retweets (downloads) this one will generate. If my work is appreciated and you like free items I will be making some more in the future.
To be sure that you will receive updates on future freebies released through this site, make sure you subscribe to the RSS feed.
If you want to report bugs or ask for assistance regarding the template use the contact page of this site and please mention it is regarding Unofolio.

Showcase Of Creative Packaging Design Inspiration – 26 Examples
Packaging needs to be smarter and more creative in the future for various reasons. Till now, when once in a while a creative package design was created it made a real buzz in the market. However, the world of packaged goods is becoming mature and is used to seeing good package designs, making the market rather saturated.
If you look at your local supermarket down the aisles you will only see product package designs that are almost identical, being differentiated only by color, which in terms of engagement with the consumers, doesn’t do any good.
If a company wants its products to mean something in the market, it has to start with the product’s package design. The design must be creative, engaging, perhaps outrageous, attention-grabber and more importantly, distinctive. The examples that you see in this article fall into these categories, being not only good, but in fact amazing designs from which you can get inspiration for your future projects.
The big brand theory
Creating a series of experimental packaging design based on the principle of BIG BRAND THEORY. The main focus is to have each brand’s identity meticulously and uniquely cropped out of the packaging as much as possible yet maintaining it’s integrity and comprehension at the same time enhancing the aesthetic value
WINES OF THE WORLD
The cork is a sign of humility, an object of little value, often used as art supplies, as a simple and easily manipulated element with which to play and create. The use of cork gives it the air of something simple, characteristic of an everyday product. The cap is the element that unifies and personalizes the entire line. The reason designed for each label refers to the country of origin

Pavan
A bit showy, a bit shy like the peacock that adorns its bottle. Fine muscat grapes and orange blossoms compose the heart of this delicate and complex liqueur. Showcase of Recent Websites With Really Good Design – 32 Sites
When it comes to recently launched websites that get a lot of appreciation thanks to their design, you’ll notice that they don’t have a standard layout. Instead they organize it in an outrageously new manner, probably after making an user experience study, and people like it. Maybe this is their way of saying that remarkable sites aren’t built with frameworks and with limited standards that everybody uses.
The sites in this article are mostly based on really interesting layouts, which are making the sites more enjoyable. They are mostly presentation sites, and not sites that sell directly a product, cause in that case the structure would be completely different.

This makes room for the designers’ imagination which can make beautiful typographic illustrations in all these programs.
